Outdoor retail giant Bass Pro Shops has added another hot camping gadget to its shelves for the 2013 camping season. The PowerPot is now available at Bass Pro locations throughout the US and online at http://www.basspro.com.
The PowerPot converts heat into electricity, using thermoelectric technology. It charges smartphones, GPS units and countless other USB devices. The product made headlines with its six-figure Kickstarter campaign last year and his since been making its way into retail outlets all over the US.
The deal with Bass Pro Shops comes after parent company Power Practical announced partnerships with regional chains Eastern Mountain Sports and Sportsman’s Warehouse. Bass Pro has retail outlets across the Midwest, South and Eastern US, with a few locations dotting the Western US. They specialize in hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor gear in general.
“We’re really excited to work with Bass Pro Shops on selling the PowerPot. They’re a staple in the outdoor space and have a presence all over the US,” said Caleb Light, VP of Sales for Power Practical.
